It kind of bothers me what "gooning" has come to mean in contemporary slang, not only because we already had perfectly good words for that, but because it's taking away a word which would otherwise have utility in other contexts. By rights, "gooning" should mean when large groups of broad-shouldered, eerily similar men with cute matching uniforms take turns getting punched by Batman.

I do love putting on a show
No amount of men’s clothing is going to cover up my curves or my ass and I hate it, not because I hate having these proportions, but because every cis person assumes I’m a cis woman because of it. Other trans people immediately clock me, but I’m sick of everyone else treating me like a tomboy cis girl. It’s stupid but it also makes me feel less butch because of it, because im not “masculine” enough, even though nobody has ever told me that and it’s just me being a jerk to myself.
The annoying thing is that I have an inherited metabolic disorder that causes me to gain fat in specific places; I’m always going to be pear shaped, regardless of my diet or exercise. And I’m fine with that! I don’t hate my body or my proportions! I just hate how people perceive me because of them!
